Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of halal certification and marketing of halal products on the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia, and explore the role of halal awareness as a moderating factor. This study uses primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents with predetermined criteria. This study uses two software, namely IBM SPSS version 30 which is used for instrument testing and classical assumption tests, then SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square) software for hypothesis testing. SEM-PLS analysis is used to test the relationship between exogenous variables and endogenous variables, using measurement model (outer model) and structural model (inner model) tests. The test results show that the halal certification variable has no effect on the growth of the halal industry, on the contrary, halal product marketing has a significant effect on the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia. Halal certification has no effect on the growth of the halal industry when moderated by halal awareness, contrary to halal certification, marketing of halal products affects the growth of the halal industry when moderated by halal awareness. So it can be concluded that halal awareness can be an amplifier of the effectiveness of halal product marketing, but cannot be an amplifier of the effectiveness of halal certification.
