Archiving Policy
Digital Archiving Policy
The Pijar Journal of Communication and Digital Media (PJCDM) is completely committed to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of the scholarly content we publish. We implement a multi-layered archiving policy to guarantee future accessibility of articles, safeguarding against technological changes or publishing interruptions within the digital landscape.
- Long-Term Preservation
For secure, resilient, and permanent digital preservation, this journal utilizes the PKP Private LOCKSS Network (PLN) system.
- The LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system creates a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for long-term preservation and system restoration purposes should any core server malfunctions occur.
- Self-Archiving Policy
We fully support the widest possible dissemination of knowledge in communication studies and digital media sectors. Therefore, we permit and encourage authors to deposit their work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites. Authors are allowed to archive the following versions without any embargo period:
- Pre-print: The author's original manuscript before undergoing the formal peer review process.
- Accepted Manuscript (Post-print): The version of the manuscript that has been peer-reviewed and accepted, but has not yet undergone the publisher's final layout design and copyediting.
- Version of Record (VoR): The final PDF version officially published on the journal's website (complete with page numbers, branding, and DOI).
Note: When self-archiving, authors are strongly advised to provide a link to the original article on the official Pijar Journal of Communication and Digital Media (PJCDM) website or include the article's DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to ensure accurate citation metrics.
- National Repositories
To enhance national visibility and rigorous data security, metadata and full-text articles published in this journal are regularly submitted to and indexed by national scientific data management bodies, including:
- Indonesia OneSearch (National Library of the Republic of Indonesia).
- Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital - Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology / relevant government body).
- ISJD (Indonesian Scientific Journal Database - BRIN).
